Procurement
The Public Procurement Act, 2015 (Act No. 15 of 2015) sets the legal framework for all procurement processes undertaken by public entities. The Procurement Policy Unit (PPU) is a department that resides under the Ministry of Finance. The PPU is responsible for advising the Minister of Finance on any procurement or disposal of assets and includes:
Monitoring of compliance;
Reviewing of the procurement system;
Assessing of the impact of the procurement system;
Promotion of the fundamental principles.
