OJ Connect – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the OJ Connect mobile application, including all digital services, features, and online functionalities provided through the app. By accessing or using OJ Connect, you agree to comply with these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using OJ Connect, you confirm that you understand and accept these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

2. Use of OJ Connect

You agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful purposes.

• Provide accurate and truthful information when submitting forms or requests.

• Not engage in unauthorised access, interference, or misuse of app systems.

• Not upload harmful files such as viruses or malicious code.

OJ Connect reserves the right to restrict access to users who violate these terms.

3. App Information and Accuracy

While every effort is made to ensure information within OJ Connect is accurate and up to date:

• Absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed.

• Content may be updated or modified without notice.

• The app is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on app content.

4. Online Payments

When making online payments through OJ Connect:

• You agree to provide correct billing information.

• You are responsible for securing your payment details.

• The app is not responsible for failed transactions caused by banking errors, network issues, or user mistakes.

• Receipts and confirmations will be issued electronically where applicable.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

All personal information collected is handled according to OJ Connect’s Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the processing of your information in line with legal obligations.

6. Third-Party Links

OJ Connect may include links to external websites. The app:

• Has no control over third-party content.

• Is not responsible for their accuracy, security, or privacy practices.

• Does not endorse external sites.

Users visit third-party links at their own risk.

7. Intellectual Property

All content within OJ Connect—including text, images, logos, documents, and design elements—is the property of the Oranjemund Town Council unless stated otherwise.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without written permission.

• Modify or use content for commercial purposes.

8. Service Availability

OJ Connect aims to remain accessible at all times. However, access may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Maintenance

• Technical issues

• System upgrades

• Circumstances beyond the Council’s control

The app is not liable for downtime or interruptions.

9. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by Namibian law, OJ Connect is not liable for:

• Losses arising from use or inability to use the app.

• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to your data.

• Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in app content.

10. Changes to Terms & Conditions

OJ Connect may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted within the app, and continued use indicates acceptance of the changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Any disputes must be resolved within Namibian jurisdiction.
