Use the below to submit your water meter readings each month. Submitting your own meter readings helps to ensure that your municipal account's water consumption rate is calculated with greater accuracy. It also helps you determine if their are any leakages and to see how you can save on your water usage. It's good idea to follow a set start and end date each month. For example always take the reading on the 1st day of a month and the last day of the month. 1 January - 31 January.

Vacancy: Chief Protection Service Offcer

Minimum requirement:

  • Diploma in Disaster Risk Management (NQF Level 6) with 3 years relevant experience, and/ or Fireman /Fire Fighter Certificate II, with 5 years relevant experience including exposure to civil defense/ security and occupational health and safety.
  • Special Requirements – Code CE driving license plus PDP. Registration as Peace Officer will be added advantage. Sound physical condition to enable the incumbent to take physical action steps during emergency situation, must be able to work under extreme condition and be able to take vital decision under such conditions.


  • To assist the Manager: LED with all duties related to Disaster prevention and firefighting, security services, occupational health and safety, and civil defense.
  • Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the Town Council’s Disaster Management efforts within the context of overall Disaster Risk Management and acts as the Disaster Risk Management Coordinator in the absence of the Manager.
  • To ensure the preparedness of the town for any disaster (land, fire and air), to upgrade the towns disaster plan and to implement and enforce regulations and procedures to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all residents in accordance with the relevant regulations.
